About Sarasota: Gulf Coast Neighborhoods and Lifestyles

Sarasota County neighborhoods and communities offer a diverse selection to meet many tastes and desired amenities. Whether you desire a beautiful beach front condominium, a townhouse in our exciting and vibrant downtown, or the finest of residences in one of our gated gulf front communities or exclusive waterfront estates, we can find you the home of your dreams.

Sarasota has been written up many times nationally introducing the public to its exciting cultural life, incredible natural beauty, world-class dining and shopping, business that is booming, and outstanding beaches and boating water. Let us take you on a tour of our neighborhoods.

Oyster Bay & Granada

Considered 'Old Sarasota' and positioned west of Tamiami Trail down to the bay are some of the most remarkable established homes and estates. Next to these are often found some new and creatively designed residences remodeled by the next generation of businesses. The mix of contemporary and traditional along with lush greenery and quiet residential streets makes this one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Sarasota. From Mansions on the bay to a quiet little home on a tree-lined street, Oyster Bay offers diversity, lush landscaping, and close proximity to downtown.

Lakewood Ranch

Lakewood Ranch has nearly become a city unto itself. Stretched between Sarasota and Bradenton, this planned community offers easy access to each of these busy cities while offering its own identity. With glamorous homes and classic condominiums, shopping and restaurants, there is no reason to seek the pleasures of life outside of the esteemed boarders of this master planned community. For the active lifestyle, this community boasts a nature park with lakes for fishing and boating, a championship golf course, and a private athletic club.

I have enjoyed watching this neighborhood grow over the years, and become a truly spectacular place to live.

Bird Key, St. Armands Circle, and Longboat Key

This northern collection of Florida Keys distinguishes itself from the mainland for its unapologetic emphasis on luxury. They cater to the part of all of us that desires to be pampered and put on a pedestal. Gorgeous waterfront estates and condominiums grace both gulf and bay, and offer dramatic views of the sun setting over the water. Exquisite shops, restaurants and boutiques offer what can be found nowhere else.

There is great opportunity and value in this esteemed area for someone with a keen sense of style, a little imagination, and the right person to guide you.

Siesta Key & Casey Key

Just minutes from the crystal sands and azure waters of Siesta Key Beach, you can eat, drink, and dance the night away in the village. Known for its relaxed atmosphere and the picturesque scenic views, Siesta Key has made a home for an eclectic group of Sarasota residents. The homes and condominiums on Siesta are as wide ranging as its people, from the old-Florida-style homes, to cottages on the beach, to grand mansions on the water, and of coarse the artsy condos and new home construction. This is a true beach community with all of the best amenities.

Casey Key, just south of Siesta, is its polar opposite. Palatial Estates line the waterfront with walls of glass looking out over private beaches. Even here, you know your in the relaxing Gulf Coast when you walk down to the jetty and see the local fishermen with their poles, and the children playing in the surf of the public beach. It is luxury and comfort, and for so many of Sarasota's elite, it is the only place they would call home.

Downtown Sarasota

The city is alive! During the day business men and women rush to their corporate offices lining the streets. They lunch at one of the dozens of restaurants that cater to every pallet, or enjoy the street scenes from outdoor cafes and bistros before returning to work; all of them stunned at the amazing growth our city on the gulf is experiencing, with the Plaza at 5 Points, the Ritz Carlton, the Alanari, Whole Foods, and so many other new luxury condominiums going up now, and the Orange Blossom, the Francis Carlton, and many other buildings that have stood the test of time for generations. Sarasota is the perfect mix of culture, sophistication, elegance, youth and enthusiasm.

Downtown Sarasota living is both cosmopolitan and diverse, and the homes here reflect the spirit of this growing community.

Museum Area

These neighborhoods are nestled in the heart of Sarasota's arts and cultural district by the John and Mable Ringling Museum. Some of the most gracious homes and communities on the south Florida gulf coast can be found tucked into the lush tropical landscaping that saturates the areas between the small, artsy cottages, and the bay front mansions. This area boasts some of the largest lots of land in Sarasota. The assemblage of homes creates an atmosphere unique to this area of Sarasota.

West of the Trail

The neighborhoods dubbed West of the Trail, are some of the oldest and most well established in the city. The wide tree lined streets of Cherokee Park with its spacious traditional homes, is a welcoming community. Harbor Acres, along Sarasota Bay, houses some of Sarasota's most well respected professionals who were drawn by the investment potential and the lush and tropical landscaping.
McClellan Park represents the historical side of Sarasota with its park-like atmosphere. Many of the houses have been renovated to preserve the undeniable beauty and quality of the original neighborhood. Each of these neighborhoods matures gracefully with an understated beauty and grand elegance.
